Working with this group of creatives was both exhilarating and daunting! Exhilarating, as I enjoyed the meetings which led to the concept we eventually shot in studio and daunting, as some of the people I photographed were professional photographers too. My day with JMS started with headshots of each professional (after they’d emerged from the Green Room which was the make-up and hair studio for the day), Editors, Directors, Motion Graphics Designers, Account Handlers, the MD and CEO, Producers and Creatives all took their place in front of the lens. This was followed by informal action shots of each individual and culminated late afternoon, with the large group shot above (which was also Highly Commended by professional society The SWPP). A colour copy of which now hangs in JMS’ reception – at two metres in length it looks amazing, and as Group CEO, John Mountford told me: ‘the eyes follow you around the room’.
In every shoot, one always has some personal favourites. Two below featuring Hugh South, JMS’ Senior Motion Graphics Designer were in my top ten.
I also find the shot of Managing Director Francesca de Lacey appealing, mainly because I feel she portrays a powerful mix of femininity, strength and command in this simple yet effective pose, set against studio flats.
My remit was to produce images for the company’s forthcoming advertising campaign, below you can see the final tri-fold brochure produced.
More images from my day with JMS can be viewed in my online portfolio and on the JMS website.
