THE CLIENT
Norfolk-based Fine Artist Denise Allen is not camera-shy, mainly due to her love of demonstrating her artistic skills on the TV shopping channel Hochanda, recording instructional videos and taking part in the TV series Fraser and Friends with Artist Fraser Scarfe. Denise likes to paint plein air, 'to absorb the atmosphere of a location', she enjoys the challenges of changing light and unpredictable weather, ably demonstrated when she took part in Sky Arts Landscape Artist of the Year.
Working in her studio allows Denise additional creativity and experimentation, this is where she works on her deconstruction and reconstruction collages, acrylic pouring and mixed media. Denise also runs painting holidays on the island of Menorca and short breaks in both Norfolk and Suffolk.
THE REMIT
Denise was easy-going and open to trying something a little different for her headshots. After spending time reading Denise's responses to my Clarity and Vision questionnaire it became apparent that this artist liked to experiment and stand out, so during our Clarity Call, I pitched my ideas to Denise who embraced them and took them a stage further. For the work and lifestyle stage of the session we moved indoors to Denise's studio and beautiful home, the aim was to showcase who she was and how she worked - these photographs are an important part of a Personal Brand experience as they can build know like and trust with your ideal client. The resulting bank of photographs has been used for Denise's new website and marketing on social media.
THE RESULT
After spending a half-day shooting on location in different lighting conditions, a set of pictures emerged which I was excited about even before I'd started to edit. These images were not only relevant and on-brand, but fitted with Denise's motto, never knowingly normal!

This is when we spend time discussing your questionnaire responses as it helps us plan the details of your photography experience. We also book a date in the diary.
STEP 3 - PHOTOGRAPHY EXPERIENCE SESSION
Where the magic happens and your pictures are created. Don't worry, you'll be prepared as we will have already spoken about clothing choice, the psychology of colour and props. We may visit more than one location to align with your brand story too.
STEP 4 - THE REVEAL
Your image bank of pictures will have been individually edited and delivered to you via digital download. We'll still keep in touch and be there for you going forward, we're only a phone call away.
