THE CLIENT

JMS help large and small, national and regional businesses to benefit from TV and radio advertising. This talented team specialise in producing television and radio commercials (and video) utilising full in-house capabilities including their own studio located in Norwich.

Rewind to 1983, former BBC presenter John Mountford, established John Mountford Studios to produce radio advertising and corporate videos. The business grew quickly, and in the 1990s became JMS Group. JMS have worked with over 10,000 businesses and currently create almost 200 television commercials and 1,000 radio commercials each year, for UK and European broadcast.

THE REMIT

To create behind-the-scenes group photographs and individual portraits of each team member which portrayed their individual character and role within the company; this female-led business was keen to showcase their location and their talent. To achieve the remit I presented my vision for the portraits via digital presentation at JMS' offices, after a number of email communications to gauge JMS' thoughts and discover where the end product would be marketed.

THE RESULT

A tri-fold glossy printed brochure, a two-metre framed print and a bank of on-brand images to be used for online marketing; showcasing each team member behind the scenes in their individual roles. We completed the shoot in one full day, starting at 8 am and finalising around 6 pm. A hair and make-up artist working alongside us in the green room prepared each team member for their session, bearing in mind the final look settled upon, after our brainstorming session, was a cross between Vanity Fair stylised group photographs and the work of celebrity movie photographer Jason Bell - both firm favourites in my own look book.
